PTFA

welcome from the ptfa
St Andrew's PTFA is a registered charity made up of, and supported by, parents, carers, teachers and friends of St Andrew's Infant School, so that includes you!

Our PTFA exists to raise funds for the benefit of all our children at the school, to enhance and complement their learning and education, and to provide additional tools and facilities over and above those provided by the Local Education Authority. We aim to do this by organising events throughout the school year which are fun, encourage a community spirit amongst all our families, and provide social entertainment for the children and parents alike.

Anyone connected to the school can attend the AGM or PTFA meetings, which are held throughout the school year, and we welcome new faces at any time. The PTFA works to encourage closer links between home and school and each year group has at least two class reps. They help to share information between the PTFA, the school and the class, and organise volunteers for each event. We hope that every family will do what they can to volunteer and support the school at some point throughout the year.

However big or small a role you'd like to play, we welcome all participation – from baking cakes, manning stalls, coming up with new fundraising ideas, going shopping for supplies or just shouting announcements in the playground - there's always room for more volunteers! Everything that we do is for the benefit of all our children and all the money we raise goes towards making our school the special place that it is.

For more information, any questions, or if you have any great fundraising ideas please email ptfa@standrewsptfa.org. We would love to hear from you.

What We Do

We organise many fundraising and social events throughout the year for parents and children including: Christmas and Spring fairs, Farnham Charity Bike Ride, Quiz nights, Christmas Cards, Sponsored bounce, clothing donations, playground sales, discos and more.

Thank you to all the local, and not so local, businesses that have supported our fundraising in the past, giving generously in either their products or time. Whether it’s gift vouchers to auction, items to raffle, a donation of discounted products or bouncy castle hire, we couldn’t hold our events and raise the fabulous amounts of money we do without your help. Full list of recent companies at the bottom of the page.

Why We Do It

Thanks to the amazing support from parents, carers, staff and our community, the PTFA has been able to provide a wide range of resources and experiences that enrich school life. Every penny raised goes straight back into supporting our children.

Other ways to fundraise...

Being an active member of the PTFA may not be possible for everyone, but you can still make a difference to our fundraising efforts.

Other ways to get involved...

St Andrew’s Infant School always have an entry in the annual Farnham Carnival and the PTFA help out in putting together the school’s float. The St Andrew’s team have been very successful over the past few years, winning Best in Show in 2025. We are always looking for parents to get involved in creating props and costumes for what is another great event in the school calendar.

We are very lucky at St Andrew’s to be located in a really beautiful spot right next to St Andrew’s church. We have some lovely raised beds in our playground, which with the help of the children and teachers, we plant up every year with different seasonal plants helping to make the playground a lovely space for the children to be playing and learning in.

Every year the school successfully wins various awards at the annual 'Farnham In Bloom' competition. We’re always looking for more people to help keep the school outdoor space looking beautiful, please let us know if you would like to get involved.

We like to re-use and re-cycle school uniform and run a very successful, Pre-loved Uniform store. We are always looking for volunteers to help keep the stock fresh and available to all.

Thank you to all these companies for their generosity in supporting our fundraising.
